How much do wedding gowns cost?
While the average cost for a wedding gown today is about $1500,
All of our gowns are under $1500. Most are between $200 & $1200
How long before my wedding should I shop for my dress?
The sooner the better! The more time you have, the more options you have. However, we have helped brides find their dream dress the week of their weddings! We have about 300 wedding gowns available right off the rack. More gowns are available with delivery dates between one week and four months.
Do I need an appointment to try on dresses?
Appointments are not required. However, if we know when you are coming in we can make sure not to schedule other people at the same time so we can give you our complete attention!
Who should I bring with me to my appointment?
We recommend just bringing one or two friends that share the same taste in fashion you do. If you have more people, you get more opinions, and it will be more confusing!
We recommend shopping for bridesmaid dresses at a separate appointment to avoid being overwhelmed.
What should I bring to my appointment?
We suggest wearing appropriate undergarments. A strapless bra and nude underwear is best. If you know how high of a shoe you plan on wearing, feel free to bring a pair with you.
Bring your ideas as well as an open mind! Most brides do not end up with the dress style they think they want originally. Once you start trying on gowns you will have a better idea of what you really want!
Are children welcome?
We don't recommend bringing children to your appointment. However, if you do, please bring someone that can keep an eye on them, so you are not distracted trying to watch children while choosing your gown.
Do wedding gowns really run small?
Most formalwear is European sizing. European sizing runs one to two sizes smaller than US sizing. Don't be afraid to go up in size. You can continue to go up in size because we can take gowns in to fit.
Do you offer in-store alterations?
Yes! We offer very affordable in-store alterations for any item purchased at American Rose Bridal.
For items not purchased here, we recommend checking with your local dry cleaners or seamstress for alterations.
Do you buy dresses?
We don't buy dress outright. However, we do sell gowns on consignment. Once the gown sells, we send you a check! Contact the store for complete information.
